About VivaTech
Viva Technology (VivaTech) is Europe’s largest startup and technology event, convening global leaders in innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation. Held annually in Paris, VivaTech connects startups, investors, corporations, and public institutions to accelerate innovation and forge impactful partnerships.
In 2025, Nigeria will participate strategically to showcase its most promising tech startups, attract global investment, and promote its growing innovation ecosystem.

Selected startups will:
- Join the official Nigerian delegation to VivaTech 2025 (11–14 June 2025).
- Exhibit at a branded Nigeria Pavilion alongside top global innovators.

We are inviting applications from startups operating in one of the following priority areas:

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Education Technology (EdTech)

Agricultural Technology (AgriTech)

Health Technology (HealthTech)

Who Can Apply?
Startups must:
- Be registered as a Nigerian Limited Liability Company with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
- Be listed on the Nigeria Startup Portal, in compliance with the Nigeria Startup Act.
- Have at least a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or a live pilot with evidence of user engagement or revenue.
- Demonstrate innovation using digital technologies
- Hold a competitive advantage (defensible IP, proprietary technology, or partnerships).
Selection Process
Applications will be assessed by a panel of industry and ecosystem experts using criteria such as:
- Market Opportunity
- Scalability and Business Model
- Product Differentiation and Innovation
- Traction and Financial Performance
- Team Strength
- Investment Readiness
- Impact and Alignment with National Priorities

What is VivaTech and why is Nigeria participating?
VivaTech (Viva Technology) is Europe’s largest technology and startup event held annually in Paris. Nigeria’s participation is part of a strategic effort to promote our national innovation ecosystem, showcase high-potential startups, attract international investment, and position Nigeria as a leading digital hub in Africa.
Who is eligible to apply?
Startups must:
- Be registered as a Nigerian Limited Liability Company with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
- Be listed on the Nigeria Startup Portal, in compliance with the Nigeria Startup Act.
- Possess a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or live pilot.
- Demonstrate market traction (revenue, users, partnerships, etc.).
- Operate within one of the four focus areas: AI, EdTech, AgriTech, or Telecommunications.
- Show evidence of innovation, scalability, and a competitive edge.
What are the thematic focus areas for selection?
Applications are invited from startups operating in the following sectors:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Education Technology (EdTech)
- Agricultural Technology (AgriTech)

How many startups will be selected?
A total of 15 startups will be selected to join the official Nigerian delegation to VivaTech 2025
What does selection include?
Selected startups will receive:
- A fully sponsored opportunity to exhibit at VivaTech 2025 in Paris.
- Participation in a pre-event programmes.
- Curated media exposure, pitch opportunities, and matchmaking with potential investors.
- Travel support, including flight, visa facilitation, and accommodation arrangements.
How will applications be evaluated?
Applications will be assessed on:
- Market opportunity and business model
- Product innovation and differentiation
- Traction and financial metrics
- Team strength and execution capability
- Investment readiness
- Socio-economic impact and sustainability
- Readiness for international exposure
When is the deadline for application?
All applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM WAT on 14 May 2025. Late submissions will not be considered.
How do I apply?
Visit the official application portal and complete all required sections. You will need to upload supporting documents such as:
- CAC registration certificate
- Product demo or pitch deck
- Evidence of traction (user metrics, partnerships, revenue)
Will I receive feedback if not selected?
Yes. While space is limited, all applicants will receive a notification, and non-selected startups may be offered future support opportunities or referrals to other programmes.
