Ministry Partners DBN to Expand Opportunities for 3MTT Fellows; Offers Access to ₦100 Million Grant Pool

The Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy (FMCIDE) has announced a strategic partnership with the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) to launch the 3MTT–DBN Annual Entrepreneurship Training Programme. This transformative initiative is aimed at equipping 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme Fellows and other digital entrepreneurs with the tools, knowledge, and funding needed to scale their innovations and build sustainable businesses.

This collaboration combines the 3MTT programme’s expansive tech talent infrastructure and DBN’s deep expertise in enterprise development and financial literacy. Delivered through a hybrid learning model, the initiative will provide participants with tailored digital and business training via DBN’s BizAid platform, followed by in-person workshops hosted in 12 regional centers across the country. Top-performing fellows will compete for access to a ₦100 million grant pool designed to support innovation-led business growth.

“This partnership is a practical demonstration of our commitment to creating a digitally inclusive economy where innovation, entrepreneurship, and access to finance intersect to accelerate national development,” said Dr. Bosun Tijani, Minister of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy.

Programme Highlights

  • Training for 100,000 participants, split into two cohorts between July and September 2025
  • Open access to 3MTT Fellows, Advanced Learning Clusters (ALCs), and members of the wider public building tech-enabled businesses
  • Delivery of practical, sector-neutral courses including:
    • Credit Management and Access to Finance
    • Sustainability for Small Businesses
    • Export Readiness
    • Business Branding and Communications
    • Generative AI for MSMEs
  • In-person workshops in 12 states across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones
  • Competitive ₦100 million grant pool for outstanding participants
  • Access to DBN’s network of Participating Financial Institutions (PFIs) for business financing

This initiative directly aligns with Nigeria’s goal of attaining 95% digital literacy by 2030, reinforcing the vital role of tech-enabled business as engines of inclusive growth, innovation, and job creation.
